There is no easy “fix” to weight loss. It requires an entire approach towards your lifestyle, yet companies make huge money on ‘fad diets’. Although these weight-loss trends can provide short term success, we ultimately find ourselves wasting a lot of money while immediately regaining the weight.
A new survey finds:
- Half of Americans say they followed a fad diet that wound up doing more harm than good.
- Only 32% of folks say a diet trend “often” helps them reach their goal.
- 90% of those who try nutrition trends say they’ve spent, on average, $158 on products that didn’t work, or didn’t help them reach their desired result.
- That could translate in more than $9,000 over a lifetime.

- “Clean” eating (78%)
- Weight-loss tea (78%)
- Gummy vitamins (76%)
- Weight-loss supplements (76%)
- Personalized vitamins (75%)
- CBD products (75%)
- Vitamin IV drips (70%)
- Blood-type diet (69%)
- Personalized/DNA-based nutrition (68%)
